Bob Mason is dedicated to leadership development. He works with companies to solve problems by helping supervisors and managers become more effective leaders leading more productive teams.
During a 30-year career in the U.S. Air Force, in aircraft and munitions maintenance and on combat rescue crews, he was fortunate to work for and with great leaders and learn real leadership. During his career he led ever larger and more complex teams and commanded four squadrons, including the Air Force’s largest munitions squadron. He has studied leadership extensively, but more importantly has been there, working with real people, making hard decisions, and experiencing the results.
Upon retirement from the Air Force, Bob dedicated himself to helping others learn skills he has found make leaders successful. He concentrates on developing leadership skills in supervisors and managers, the backbone of any company, who have the most day-to-day, face-to-face contact with the people who produce a company’s product or service. They translate executive direction and goals into action. He bases leadership development on a firm belief, supported by extensive experience, that leadership doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s simply getting things done through people. Leaders are much more effective when they understand themselves, their purpose, and their team.
Bob is also a founder and Managing Partner of The Daedalus Group which provides corporate leadership development programs.
Bob is a professional speaker and a Past President of the New Mexico chapter of the National Speakers Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management, a Master of Aeronautical Science, a Master of Business Administration in Aviation and is the author of four books on leadership.
