Information about engaging Bob Mason for your next corporate or association event.

Providing a great experience for your next meeting can be a daunting challenge and I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you to make that meeting a great success. There are several ways I can help you provide content that your meeting participants will rave about.

Keynote: Several of my programs will provide a content rich, thought provoking speech. For instance, how about a lunchtime presentation that is an informative but entertaining extra for your attendees.

Breakout sessions: These events are often where your attendees receive the most actionable information and I really enjoy the opportunity to interact with smaller groups. I can also laser focus a presentation on a specific issue you need to address.

Full-day or Multi-day workshops: Through my training company, The Daedalus Group, I can provide a more in-depth experience designed to help supervisors and managers gain proven leadership skills. These programs are based on my experience and everything I teach is because I know it works.

Control, Analyze, Act: The 3-5-2 Decision Making Process

Based on the basic rules that govern actions in an aircraft emergency, the three steps: Control, Analyze, Act, provide an extremely effective way to approach problems and make more effective decisions. They are also the foundation for a process that will help anyone more effectively solve problems and make decisions.  Following the three rules and using the 3-5-2 process will make make anyone more effective.

The Art of Not Motivating

Leaders are most successful when they understand what motivates their team members. Leaders can’t actually motivate others but they can create a motivational environment to help team members achieve their own motivators. That’s when teams are most effective and leaders are most successful.

This is based on my book, The Art of Not Motivating: How Leaders Can Succeed by Understanding the True Nature of Motivation.

Balancing the Generations

It has become common to blame everything on inter-generational conflict. In fact, that’s often an excuse for failing to understand people. A look at the various generations in the workplace today reveals that we are often operating on misinformation and bad assumptions. In fact, leaders are most successful when they forget about generational categories.

This is based on my book, Balancing the Generations: A Leader’s Guide to the Complex, Multi-Generational, 21st Century Workplace.

Breakout sessions, Full- and multi-day presentations.

Any of the keynote presentations can be expanded to provide a deeper dive for a breakout session. In addition, there are many programs covering a wide range of leadership skills through my training company, The Daedalus Group. You can download a catalog here, or just contact me at 505-453-5266 and let’s discuss what will provide the most value for your organization.

No matter which program you choose, your participants will receive solid, actionable content.

My style:

You have a difficult job and so I’m easy. I have planned and led meetings myself so I know the challenges you face and I want us both to be successful. I will ask you some questions to make sure we clearly understand each other’s needs.

Audio/Visual:

There are a few requirements that will make this a success. For most of my programs I use PowerPoint loaded on my Windows laptop. I will need a projector and large screen. Some workshop sessions may also require a flip chart with colored markers. I will also need a wireless, lavaliere microphone for almost all presentations. For some presentations I may also request a separate hand-held wireless microphone to enhance audience participation and questions and answers.

Preparation: I want to learn about your organization and any unique challenges you face in order to make the presentation applicable to you. To that end, I may request contact information for a few people who I can interview.

Travel:

I travel from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I will invoice a flat rate for travel unless you require a specific break-out. I calculate travel based on costs at the time we confirm the engagement. I normally arrive the day before my presentation time.

Fees and Deposit:

A 50% deposit will lock-in the date. The balance will be due prior to the presentation.

I look forward to working with you.
